A Comparative Electrochemical and Morphological Investigation on the Behavior of NiCr and CoCr Dental Alloys at Various Temperatures

The purpose of our study is to compare the behavior two reprocessed dental alloys (NiCr and CoCr) at different temperatures considering idea that food drinks in oral cavity create various compositions pH levels; novelty investigation temperature effect on corrosion parameters ion release alloys. Electrochemical stability was studied together with morphology, elemental composition ions determination. results obtained are good concordance: electrochemistry studies reveal rate increasing by temperature. From SEM coupled EDS, oxide film formed surface stable low a trend break after 310K. ICP-MS evidence accordance temperature, quantities released from immersed artificial saliva also increase, though they still remain small, less than 20 ppm.
